Schnepf
Farms
For 12 years Schnepf Farms has been transitioning from a "traditional"
farm to "agri-tourism" with the purpose of educating and informing
the public about Arizona agriculture. Phoenix Magazine selected
Schnepf Farms as the "Best Fall Experience."
Challenger
Space Center
The Mission of the Challenger Space Center is to inspire, excite
and educate people of all ages about the mysteries and wonders
of space, science and the universe in which we live. The
Center is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution which
gives it access to national quality exhibits.

water theme park in Mesa has everything from miniature golf,
go carts, laser tag, to water slides, a childrens' play pool
area, 450,000 gallon wave pool and a half pipe thrill slide.

Water World
In Phoenix, on Pinnacle Peak Rd., Water World has over 16 water attractions. One of the newest attractions is a 1,100 foot long lazy river; great for taking small children on an inner tube ride or working on your tan. The park offers rides from 6 story speed slides to wave pools, to a children's play area.
Heard Museum
According to the Arizona Highways magazine, the Heard Museum " ...provides Indian artists with a wonderful home that will excite and inspire visitors from around the world." Arizona Highways, October 1999. It is one of the best places to learn about the culture and art of the Native Americans of the Southwest.
Pueblo
Grande Museum and Archeological Park
The 102 acre park which is supported by the
Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, the Pueblo Grande Musuem
is located at a 1,500 year old Hohokam village ruins.
The museum is dedicated to the study and interpretation of the
Hohokam culture.
Childsplay
A theatre for young audiences and families..... The theatre
was founded and organized in 1977 by artistic director David
Saar, and performed its' first play, Sense and Nonsense.
In 2001, the theatre received the Arizona Governor's Arts Award
for Arts-in-Education.

Police Museum
The museum offers exhibits that range from a 1919 Model T police car to motorcycles to a 1900 police station mock up.
Verde Canyon Railroad
Built
from 1911 - 1912, this 38 mile train line cost $1.3 million
and was financed by Senator William A. Clark. Situated
in the Verde Canyon, southwest of Sedona, the
Verde Canyon is often called 'Arizona’s other Grand Canyon'
with spectacular canyon scenery on a train trip that
offers visual feasts including seasonal spring flowers, fall
foliage and hundreds of migratory birds, such as the majestic
bald eagle.
